Here is a Yamaha keyboard style that I think we would all appreciate. I got this from a good friend so thank you so much for sharing this with us. This is probably one of the best Freestyle keyboard out there. The beat is kinda like Stevie B “spring love”. Check it out and let me know what you think.

Lao Yamaha Keyboard Under $200

Yesterday I was in Best Buy shopping for a new laptop. Prior to exiting the store I went to the Music department to check out some of the new equipments from Yamaha. The thing that got my attention was the newer model of Yamaha Keyboard – Yamaha YPT. This is great! Finally a keyboard that people could afford. You could get it for less than $200. That is pretty cool but it doesn’t come with Lao styles. But you could load it yourself. Great for beginners and small party gatherings.

Loading A Music Style files on Yamaha PSR E403

First, you need to install the music software downloader on your PC. The software should come with the keyboard. Once you have that, connect a USB cable to the E403 and in the software, click on musical instrument and flash memory.

Add your files and it will take about 10 seconds each to download.
When this is complete, you can retrieve your style files by pressing the function button and scrolling through until you find the sub menu “SFF load” all of your loaded styles will be in that area.

To load a style from “SFF load” press “0″ than press the yes button.
This will load that one style into style # 156

Lao & Thai Keyboard Styles

When I got started with music my first instrument was a Yahama PSR 620 keyboard. I remember I was so happy when I picked it up at the post office. I was kinda disappointed because I thought that it would come with a built-in Lao style.

At the time, I didn’t know anybody in the Lao music community.So, like everybody else I went online and start searching for Yamaha Lao Keyboard Styles..couldn’t find anything! After many hours of frustration I was able to locate a website in Los Angeles that offers to sell Lao music styles. So, I went ahead and bought one music style..Lamvong just to test it out and it works perfectly. Thanks for the people in Los Angeles! The only thing that I don’t like is the price..$25 for one style and $100 for ten!

Now, that I am more active in the Lao music community, finding what I need is much easier and cheaper too. Hopefully, new Lao musicians will find this website useful.
