Setting voice split in your keyboard

When you are playing a keyboard and you want to change the voice sometime it could kill the flow of music. One of the ways to avoid this is by setting a voice split on your keyboard. On a Yamaha PSR S900 for example, you can have up to three voices on a full range keyboard. For example you can set the piano sound from key 67 to 80 and from key 82 to 87 you can have a guitar sound and from 87 to what ever you can set to the sounds of flute.. so this will gives you a quick access to the voice without having to press on any button on the keyboard for voice change. Make Your Band and Karaoke System Sound Good

My Lao music sucks, what can I do!!

Wow! Happy new year to all. Hope you will make 2010 the best year ever. I was at the New year’s party in Fresno California; it was great except for the band and the music that they played. At time, as musicians we tend to sing and play songs that we like and not what the audiences really want.

This year I am going to be concentrating on playing Lao music that people like because this is what keeps them coming back. One thing that I have found is that it is not so much about the song but the style of music that you play. Paslop, Limborock, Talung, Offbeat, Megadance are some of the styles that many good Lao musicians neglect. Be sure to keep these styles in mind when you are playing at a party.

I think the happiest moment for a musician like myself is to be in front of people performing. To have the opportunity to do this you will need to get your name and music out there. The best way to do this is through social networking. My favorite place to promote my music is MySpace and Facebook. They are two very powerful social networking sites at the moment.
